Just over two months until the draft - better get started on my list.

One personal request. The Mooseheads play a road game that night so I expect to be working. I would like to see the draft stay at its normal noon(ish) starting time, if possible, so I can attend.

Guys - I just want to second Willy's request. I'm trying to come down for the draft this year, but I'll only be able to do it if it's around noon. If it's in the evening, I won't be able to make it.

Noted on both counts, and thanks for the early input fellas.

Anybody else have any serious restrictions they want to toss into the mix before I decree Noon (AT) start on Saturday? Donkey? Cayman Islanders? Elliott?

Date and time for the draft should be fine with the Islanders :)

How about a 1pm or 2pm start.? I usually play ball Saturday morning and it might allow Donkey to attend and MacDonald to be early.

It is officially marked on the calendar, located on our fridge. Once a date makes it to that level, it is set in stone. I will be there at whatever time works for everyone else. Will there be festivities or something afterwords, so we can make a night of it?

Commish leaning towards 12:30 start time, ostensibly that will give Harmon time to get here from Freddy and allow Skinny to complete his ballgame (he picks at No. 13), as well as put Goofy on the premises for the start, and still allow Palov and Maich to participate and then scoot to their evening commitments.

Golf and ball hockey could both take place on Friday the 24th, for those who don't have work commitments. Might also be able to squeeze in a round of golf early Saturday morning prior to Noon.

Draft location will be the Elephant and Castle in Halifax.

Wonder what's going on in the big city that night (Saturday, September 25th) ?

- Mooseheads on the road in Quebec City - SOOL - (shit out of luck)

- at Casino NS - comedian Pauly Shore - give me a fucking break, is he still funny? (Friday night - 24th)
and entertainer Mickey Rooney (Sunday night 26th) - Christ isn't he dead yet?

- CAS Regional Meeting (anesthesiologists) @ Four Points Sheraton - that'll put you to sleep!

- Ernie Haase and Signature Sound at the Halifax Forum Multi-purpose room (Grammy Nominated Southern Gospel group ) - for those of you who have found Jesus!

- Last night of the Atlantic Film Festival - for you artsy-fartsy types!

- Halifax Wedding Show (for anyone still single - or if you want to get married again)

- My brother Luke (Morris) and Shameless play the Lower Deck! - best option so far!

Note, some will remember the attendance of Herald cartoon genius (and talented troubadour) Bruce MacKinnon at a previous SSHL draft, back in the Squirrel's Nest days of yore. Bruce and his son Jay currently have ongoing gig at E&C every Saturday evening, 5-8 pm, so without undercutting Dexter's Shameless plug, that could also be a convenient consideration for early post-draft entertainment slot.

I thought you'd like it. Would be an appropriate place to have it after the Elephants have hoisted their first SSHL championship trophy.
